Well, we braved the heat and went camping at Oak Mountain this past weekend. We always talk about camping, but this is the first time we actually did it. Even though it was extremely hot and humid we had a lot of fun. It was a quick trip to test the waters with Peyton. We didn't get to the camp site until 5:30pm on Saturday, and we checked out at 9:00am the following morning. We planned on going to the lake before we left, but Peyton knocked out within seconds of being in her carseat. I guess she was exhausted from taking 2 hours to actually fall asleep, and then waking up 3 times during the night. Despite the sleep issues she did really well. She loved being in the tent, and squishing her face on the mesh door. If we weren't holding her, or riding our bikes she was in the tent because she tried to eat sticks, leaves and rocks. I see a lot more camping trips in our future, but hopefully next time won't be SO humid. I like wearing sweatshirts around the camp fire instead of sweating while roasting my marshmallows.
Eating graham crackers, not rocks. :)
sweaty
Thankfully is had cooled down in to the 70s by morning.
Rocking the side pony. ha.

Haha, well check you guys out! LOVE the picture's of Peyton against the mesh ;) Your brave to take a baby camping. We wouldn't get any sleep with Jordan ;) At least not in a tent...
i love camping so much. It's great fun. I'm glad you guys tried it out. It's hard when kids are little but it's worth it!
