Always on the GO!

Trying to get pictures of Peyton is becoming increasingly difficult. She is always on the go! Most of my wacky noises have lost their appeal. It's shear luck when she looks right in to the camera. Watching her explore is a lot of fun, but it's just not so good for building my photography skills. At least it's cooled down here! The weather has been gorgeous the last couple of days, so we've been spending a lot of time on the driveway. Hopefully soon we'll have a backyard suitable for Peyton to play in. Anyway, here are some pictures from this morning.

Apparently banging on a shed is a lot of fun. I wish this was a "because I love you" smile.

I love the way she runs. She sticks her chest out and puts her arms behind her. ha.

Fun at the Park and a Tantrum

These pictures are from last month, but I forgot to post them. Or did I?

The playground was packed that evening! We brought Peyton's car, and while Peyton was on the playground I let a couple of little girls play with it. Pretty soon there was a swarm of kids wanting to take turns, so we decided to go on a walk.

I had this brilliant idea of taking pictures of Peyton standing on the bridge. It didn't work out so well because she wanted to climb off of it. So we told her "all done". Apparently she was not. If I wasn't going to get cute pictures of her standing on the bridge I was at least going to get a few shots of her tantrum. :)

We walked around the pond a few times, put her car away and headed back to the playground. Her face is all splotchy because she fell in the wood chips. I hate wood chips. I wish all playgrounds had that bouncy, rubber floor. Ya know what I'm talking about?

I love her expression in this one. She just loves life.

Would You Call it a Barrel?

The first time I put Peyton in this barrel, bucket or whatever it's called was November 13th, 2008. I have a set of three, and I believe she was in the smallest one. She couldn't sit up on her own, and had a look of boredom on her face most of the time. Her days were spent sleeping, eating, pooping, laying on the floor, and sitting in her swing. I didn't love going out and about because she had to eat every 2 1/2-3 hrs. She was such a good baby though, and hardly ever cried. She was content anywhere.

She was such a dainty little girl. Ha!

The second time was December 29th, 2008. She was in the medium sized barrel. I loved that hat, and little apple jacket! She still wasn't sitting up on her own, and still spent most of the time chilling on the floor with her toys, sleeping, eating, pooping and loving her jumperoo. She was laughing more and smiling all the time, though you can't tell by the pictures. Still so easy going and content. It hadn't been that long, and not much had changed.

Third time in the barrel was last week. Look at her now! She's growing up so fast, and everyday is more fun than the last. Stop rhyming, I mean it. Would anyone like a peanut? I love the stage that she is in. She does throw tantrums sometimes, but they only last about 10 seconds before she moves on to something else. She is so sweet, and gives kisses and hugs all the time, but we do have to keep the hitting and bullying her friends in check.  She's constantly babbling, and has about 20 words though she'll never say them when I'm trying to get her to perform for someone. She is practically running, and she tries to jump. She loves to read books, and carry things around in containers. Elmo always catches her eye. She's pretty much down to one nap, and one poop a day, if you wanted to know. Throwing food from her high chair is a problem sometimes, but I am happy that she eats table food, and drinks whole milk. She still likes me best, and I hope it stays that way forever. haha. jk. I could keep going, but I'll show you more pictures instead.
