ten on tuesday!

1. Yesterday we said goodbye to "auntie" aimee. :( We are really going to miss her, but we are happy for her.

2. Jada didn't get here until 10:45 this morning, so her and Peyton are on completely different schedules. ::shrugs::

3. Peyton is really starting to form opinions about some things...

4. Is today really the last day of June? wow!

5. Riley is in the hospital. :( She is having trouble breathing. That's all I know. Please pray for her. She's my niece that was born at 29 wks.

6. 3 weeks until Peyton and I go to Idaho! I talked to my mom yesterday, and she was out by the pool watching my nephews swim. I can't wait until I'm doing the same!

7. We went to Whole Foods last weekends. yikes! Buying organic is so expensive! ::sigh::

8. Tonight Cory is going to grill fish. yum! My tastes buds have changed a lot since having Peyton. I used to hate seafood, but now I crave it! weird.

9. Jillian from the Bachelorette is not making wise choices!

10. We're going to camp Springville this weekend to be with Cory's family for the 4th of July and his Uncle's birthday. It's going to be lots of fun. I just hope all the snakes stay far, far away!

P.S. Peyton started clapping this afternoon! It's so cute!

I'd say she likes it.

Nothing new and exciting to post about, but I thought you might enjoy some pictures of Peyton eating spaghetti. I think it's safe to say she likes it. :)

Another Park Day

Jada went home early today, so when Cory got home we headed to the park. The weather was pretty nice too. We didn't start sweating until we were half way around the trail. That's pretty good for summer time in the south. :)

I picked a flower for Peyton.

Doesn't she look so big in this picture! I love that she held on to her flower the entire time. Such a sweet girl. After I took this shot we went down the slides a couple times and then put her back in her stroller. Wood chips are just too tempting...

The park gets more fun every time we go! Toddler time is coming up quick!

ten on tuesday

1. Peyton and I are going to Idaho on my birthday. Woo hoo. The flight is going to be a little rough, we have 3 stops! Yikes! It will be worth it though.

2. Peyton and I will also be driving with my mom to Cali from Idaho. I just don't even know...

3. We'll be in Cali until Aug. 16th. Woo hoo! I am so excited! I can't wait for perfect weather, yummy food, friends, family, the beach, an Angela's game, water parks, a pool in my backyard... Oh Cali, how I love thee! I'm sad that I won't get to meet baby Hunter, and see Lindsay though.

4. Peyton has been standing on her own for a few seconds, but she always squats down once she realizes what she's doing.

5. I like the letters "R" and "A"

6. This weekend we are going to finish the tile in the entryway. baby steps. Our floor will be finished someday.

7. Getting a new tire on our car is another thing on our to-do list this weekend. blah.

8. I love pink lemonade.

9. Nap time is a fabulous time.

10. Peyton loves when I crawl around and chase her. She just crawls in circles though. She hasn't quite figured out how to get away from me either that or she actually likes being caught and tickled.

First Camping Trip

Well, we braved the heat and went camping at Oak Mountain this past weekend. We always talk about camping, but this is the first time we actually did it. Even though it was extremely hot and humid we had a lot of fun. It was a quick trip to test the waters with Peyton. We didn't get to the camp site until 5:30pm on Saturday, and we checked out at 9:00am the following morning. We planned on going to the lake before we left, but Peyton knocked out within seconds of being in her carseat. I guess she was exhausted from taking 2 hours to actually fall asleep, and then waking up 3 times during the night. Despite the sleep issues she did really well. She loved being in the tent, and squishing her face on the mesh door. If we weren't holding her, or riding our bikes she was in the tent because she tried to eat sticks, leaves and rocks. I see a lot more camping trips in our future, but hopefully next time won't be SO humid. I like wearing sweatshirts around the camp fire instead of sweating while roasting my marshmallows.

Eating graham crackers, not rocks. :)

Happy 4 years to us!

Happy anniversary to us! Our wedding doesn't feel like it was yesterday, but it also doesn't feel like it's been 4 years already! We have had a great year. We were going to try to go to the beach, or Atlanta this year, but we just couldn't afford it. But today has been perfect. Cory went to work (we are thankful for this since so many people are out of work). I stayed home with Peyton ( we are also thankful that I am able to stay home with her). On Cory's way home from work he stopped by the library and "rented" a couple of movies. When he got home we strapped Peyton into the bike trailer and rode up the street to Hungry Howies. It may not be the best pizza, but it's the perfect price, at the perfect location, and it hit the spot! :) We ate dinner, played with Peyton, put her to bed, and put on a movie. So here I sit blogging, and watch Hoosiers while the greatest guy I have ever known, my husband, sits beside me. Fantastic.

Getting a drink after our bike ride to Hungry Howies.

Our anniversary present. It may not be a chariot, but it gets the job done, and I love it!

The fun is going to continue this weekend. We're going to go camping at Oak Mountain for a night. I'm really excited about it. We bought camping gear our first Christmas we were married and have yet to use it. Hopefully it won't be too difficult camping with a 10 month old. I hope Peyton enjoys it! I love being outside, and envision many camping trips in our future. We'll see...
