I haven't forgotten about my blog.

The kids and I are in Idaho. Ive dubbed myself supermom for flying solo with an almost 3 year old, and 9 month old. I forgot my camera so there are no pictures to post, but we are having a great time. We have been hanging out with my aunt, unc,e and cousins. Yesterday we went to target(peyton woke up askig to go. Ha.), and then we headed to my parents' gouse and swam the day away. I bought peyton a puddle jumper and its the greatest floatation device ever! She is able to be in the pool completely on her own, and she doesnt tip over like she does when she wears a life vest. Noah loved the pool so much! He was going nuts! He thinks its hilarious to splash his face and get a mouthful of water. I hope he always loves the water. It doesn't get dark here until 10:30pm. We were in the pool until almost 8pm, and then we came inside for brownies. Perfect. Of course I watched the bachelorette once the kids were asleep. :) jp is pretty much the only guy I like.

My mom, little brother, nephews and niece will be here in a few hours. Fun, fun! I love it here. Summertime in Idaho is th best! We miss Cory though, and wish he was here with us! :(

Don't give up on my blog. I will post again...

She is almost 3...

A conversation with Peyton

Me: Who is your best friend?

Peyton: You!

Me: Who is the best mommy in the whole world?

Peyton: You!

Me: Who is the prettiest person you know?

Peyton: Me!

Peyton is really in to drawing these days. This morning she asked me to draw her a dog eating a bone, so I did. My drawing ability never really progressed past kindergarten so please excuse the unrecognizable dog, and focus on Peyton's added details.

An Update... if it qualifies for one.

If more than a week goes by without me writing a new post I have a hard time jumping back in. I just don't really feel like blogging. I want everyone else to update their blogs, so I guess it's only fair that I do the same. I've been pretty busy, but don't have much to talk about... yet.

I see this face several times a day. He seems to do it with no rhyme or reason. Happy or sad the scrunchy face comes out.

Flashback friday!

The middle of June 2009

The end of June 2010 though I feel like I took this a couple of months ago!

When all else fails

Put water on your crabby baby's high chair tray.

Stick your almost 3 year old in a pack n' play because she will not stop getting out of her bed during nap time.

Take your kids to the park to burn off some energy to ensure a bedtime that doesn't come with protesting.

Take pictures of your kids instead of feeling overwhelmed by all the whining, crying and fussing you've heard all day.

ten on tuesday!

1. Noah is teething again. Thankful for tylenol. I don't remember ever giving Peyton tylenol for teething pain. She was good to go with just the tablets. Noah is a fussy mess without a little pain reliever.

2. Noah is now getting on his hands and knees and rocking.

3. I shouldn't have made peanut butter chocolate chip cookies yesterday...

4. Last Saturday Peyton, Noah and I walked over to the City Fest that was going on near our house. Peyton loved the jolly jumper/moon bounce/bounce house/whatever you call it.

She was a little unsure of it at first, but that didn't last long. I took Noah in for a few minutes, but he mostly watched from the stroller.

5. Cory (wasn't he the cutest!) + Kim

6. I really need to start shredding again.

7. I've been watching Brothers & Sisters on Netflix. I'm not sure why I started watching it because they cancelled the show. Too bad because I like it.

8. I'm also watching The Bachelorette, and its quite ridiculous. I mean Bentley for real? Come on.

9. Peyton is really growing in her imaginary play. This morning we went trick or treating. After she would knock on my door she would run to her house and eat her candy, and then come knocking for more. Every time she did it she told me she got chocolate on her face, and I needed to help her wipe it off. She would not continue the game until I wiped the non existent chocolate off her face. My favorite part though was the sound she made when she closed my door. I can't wait to see what kind of games she and Noah come up with. Perhaps a game like baby tiger. :)

10. " I don't want to be human." -Peyton

Nothing Fancy

Our house is pretty small, and I'm horrible at taking pictures of it, but here's a little idea of what it looks like:

The kids share the smallest of our 3 bedrooms. It works out really well except when Peyton decides to wake up Noah from his nap.

The robot pictures aren't actually hanging that crooked, its just an awful picture.

In addition to their tiny bedroom the kids also have the master bedroom as their playroom. It was a lot of wasted space for Cory and me, so we decided to convert into a den/playroom. One side of the room currently has boxes of items for our garage sale next weekend. The small picture of a shower curtain and shelf is the bathroom off the hall beside my bedroom.

Our kitchen and living room

A little more of our living room, a cute baby, and mine and Cory's room (well, part of it). Our desk and computer used to be in the playroom, but we moved it out when we got new carpet and kept it in that little nook in the living room. We used to have a bench and coat rack there, but that's under our carport waiting for someone from craigslist to buy it. :)

I am really bad at story boarding our house. ha. But there is a little idea of what it looks like.

flashback friday!

I can't believe I will be taking her 3 year pictures in two months!

I don't think a 2 year old gets any cuter. I'm not biased at all. :)

This one is a little out of focus, but I love it!

Noah is 9 months old!

Can you believe Noah is 9 months old!? I can. :) Let's see, what's new with the "little" guy.

Well, he weighs 23 pounds, and is 30 1/2 inches long! However, I do not see football in his future. Baseball would be cool though. :) He has 4 teeth now!

He looks so funny because none of them are completely grown in. He has a mouth full of pointy white nubs. His hair is getting wild. He doesn't have much of it, but he has some long strands over his ears, and on the top of his head.

He's eating table food like a champ, but still uses his entire fist to pick the food up. I am so thankfully that he isn't picky!! He loves to blow raspberries with a mouth full of food. He grins from ear to ear, and will even laugh.

We've introduced a sippy cup, but he hasn't gotten the hang of it. He loves chewing on it though.

He loves bath time, and playing in the little kiddie pool. He thinks he's hot stuff splashing around.

No crawling yet, but he can scoot backwards now. When I put him on all fours he gets in a sitting position or plops down. The doctor gave me a phone number for an EI evaluation, but I'm kind of tired of putting out money for things that aren't really necessary with him. He really isn't that far behind, so I think I will wait it out for a couple more months and if he still isn't crawling I will call.

I can't remember if he was sleeping through the night last month. He definitely is now. If he loses his pacifier while he is sleeping he finds it and puts it back in all by his big self.

His little personality is so cute! He loves his sister. If she is sleeping in the car and he is awake he screams at her and tries to wake her up. :) The kids loves to scream! If he hears anything that resembles a scream he will let one out. He loves music, and to hear Cory play the guitar and sing. He bobs up and downs. He loves to beat on the floor, and on his little bongos. Maybe he will be a drummer like his dad. He's pretty stranger shy, but so was Peyton. Now Peyton is a social butterfly, so maybe Noah will be, too.

I suppose that's it. I love my sweet little Noah Thomas.

I tried to get some pictures of him last night, but he was more interested in watching Peyton run around.
