ten on tuesday!

1. It doesn't just happen in the movies, people. We really saw people having an imaginary battle in the park, and they were much older than 5. I had to take a picture.

2. There is a little open field, future site of a chevron, that has pretty yellow flowers growing in it, well between it and the sidewalk. I've been dying to take pictures of Peyton in a field of sunflowers, and I figured this was the closest I was going to get this year, so off we went. The pictures didn't come out like I have envisioned, but there are a handful that I love.

Shaking her groove thang.

swoon.

My favorite picture from the evening, no dainty dandelion blowing for this little lady.

3. I watch my little cousin on Thursday, Friday, and every other Wednesday. Peyton loves having someone to play with.

Notice her shorts on backwards. :)

While Ty and Peyton climb, and jump off rocks and stone walls Noah watches the nearby gardeners mow the lawn.

4. There was a park day in there sometime last week.

5. Painting a caterpillar

Feel free to pin this master piece. :)

6. Noah always seems to have a car in his hand while he is at home. I love watching him drive it across the furniture, and floor. Of course this little act of boyhood makes him a genius in my book.

7. My parents are coming this weekend so it should be busy and fun.

8. We finally settled on the kids halloween costumes. I really wanted Peyton to be a storybook character, and Noah to be whatever went along with it, but she wasn't having it. I thought Miss Muffet and a spider would have been so cute or Little Red Riding hood, and a wolf, Goldilocks, and a bear. We just took her to Old Navy and had her pick something. I'll admit that we didn't let her have her first choice(a bee) because I couldn't think of anything that would go with it for Noah.  Noah is a "scuper diaper" according to Peyton. Can you guess what he really is?

9. I have got to get a video of Noah singing. It is my absolute favorite. Yesterday we were listening to Justin Beiber(its ok, you can judge), and Noah sang " ba ba ba ba ba ba aaahhhh."

10. I know most of you saw this on fb, but for those of you that didn't:

Peyton: can I have some yogurt?

Me: yes, but it's not the regular yogurt, it's a gogurt.

Peyton: oh mom! I knew you could do it! Rhyming is fun, I know.

Zoo Time

Noah got a zoo pass for his birthday, perfect for my little animal lover. The zoo here is a lot smaller than the Birmingham zoo, but its still great fun.

He is getting so handsome. He is too cool for school in this little hat.

Lunch break

Peyton must have inherited the "look of disgust while eating" gene.

Peyton still loves the zoo for every reason, but looking at the animals.

And a picture of a tiger to show that we were really at the zoo. I never take pictures of the animals. I probably should though because I'm sure Noah would love to have an album of them.

A Walk Through The Neighborhood

Noah and I go on a walk every night, most nights Cory and Peyton come, too. I absolutely love our neighborhood. It is stuff that movies are made of. seriously. There are kids every where, playing and riding their bikes until the sun goes down. It's so safe, and friendly feeling. I love seeing people outside being active. It really makes me happy. Anyway, how about a little picture tour.

Getting ready to head out

Sidewalk trails throughout the neighborhood

Community basketball court

Neighborhood playground #1

Neighborhood playground #2

Looking outside of the subdivion: corn fields, and mountains.

We love our walks.

10 on tuesday!... finished on wednesday

1. Peyton started ballet last week. I'm not able to be in the room while she is in class, but I did take a couple of pictures after. She LOVES going to dance class. She is the youngest in her class, all of the other girls are 4, but she does pretty well.

2. One of Noah's favorite things to do is sit in the laundry room, and watch the washer and dryer spin around.

3. One of Peyton's favorite things to do while at home is jump on the trampoline. I don't let her do it that often because it makes me so nervous. The previous owners had the brilliant idea of building a stone ledge right around. Not very smart.

4. Krispy Kreme is always a fun adventure. It was the first time we had taken the kids, so of course I had them wear the hats, and brought the camera. No donuts for Noah, but he did get to enjoy some chocolate milk.

5. Park days are always fun. No more sitting in the stroller, and watching for Noah.

He thought it was great fun picking up and throwing wood chips in this tunnel.

"Here I am, Dora!" That's right, lucky me got to be called Dora all evening.

"Peyton, show me your prettiest smile." Oh geez, nevermind.

6. The other night Peyton wanted to wear Cory's swimmer's cap. She said, "Look! I have serious eyes."

7. Sidewalk chalk in the evening... notice Noah in the background...

Our neighbors have horses. Noah was headed that way, so I got some carrots so we could feed them. Noah loved it! He is crazy about animals. Peyton doesn't really care. She's rather "climb" a tree.

Noah is obviously very happy to be away from the horses and contained in his car.

8. So there is a little glimpse of what every day life looks like for us.

9. I really should take, and add a bunch of pictures of Noah crying a rolling all over the ground because that is quite a common occurrence.

10. It's still hot in Idaho. Rumor has it that the high temperatures usually don't last this long. I'm enjoying it while it's still here because I'm a little scared about winter. I definitely need fall temperatures come October though!
