I cannot eat anything without giving her a bit or having something else for her to eat. It's difficult for me to enjoy my diet of cookies and brownies now. :) She tried avocado last night, and seemed to like it. I was pretty surprised she ate it because she usually only likes things full of flavor. She loves lemons, and doesn't even make a sour face when she sucks on them. She also likes spicy food just like her dad, and she most definitely got my sweet tooth. She loves fruit! I finally gave her cheerios a couple weeks ago, and she only likes them ok. I guess they aren't sweet enough for her. She'll gobble down her yogurt melts though. I'd say her favorite thing to eat is her yobaby yogurt, doesn't matter the flavor. I know hearing about food is boring, but this blog is her baby book. ha.
Still no teeth.
She's cruising all over now.
She crawls, walks, and stands with her feet out like a penguin. I tried googling it this morning, but I didn't find anything alarming, just that it helps them keep their balance. I'm going to check with the pediatrician about it at her 12 month appointment. I didn't even notice it until Hillary pointed it out.
She's got a little bit of a mean streak in her. I'd like to say she got that from Cory, but we all know that's not true. She's been getting irritated with Jaida, and I guess is jealous, and doesn't want to share me. The other day Peyton intentionally leaned back on Jaida, and "yelled" at her. Today I was sitting on the futon, and Jaida was trying to pull up, and Peyton walked in front of her. Can she understand what she is doing this young? It sure seems like it. How do I redirect that behavior? Poor Jaida.
BUT, ha, she really is just the sweetest little girl. She loves kisses, and to be cuddled. Everyone is her friend.
Her new favorite game is to play peek-a-boo. She puts her face down on the couch, a pillow, whatever...and she'll lift her head up and smile, and I'll say "boo". Sometime she'll say boo, too. It's really cute, and we crack up at her. I tried to get it on video yesterday, but she was more interested in the camera.
I gave Peyton the Paddington Bear I got in London, when I went on a missions trip to Romania my Junior year in High School. She absolutely loves it. It's adorable. Every night when I go check on her she has her armed wrapped around it. So sweet. If she gets attached to it I won't mind because Paddington is way cool. :)
I risked her afternoon nap today, and snapped this shot. :)
She finally waves bye, but still doesn't clap.
She is definitely a water baby.
She has this new weird laugh that I don't even know how to describe. It's like a vibrating laughing sound. Maybe I'll get it on video one of these days. She does it when she is really excited.
She's added boo to her vocabulary. She pretty much says "peyton" about anything she likes. ha.
I guess that's the skinny on our 10 month old! I apologize for it being long and boring. If you're thinking, "why do I even read this blog" I'll remind you.
I wish this one was in focus.
She wasn't all smiles though. Nap time probably isn't the best time to have a photo shoot.
Seriously, Mom, I am so over this!
You want a picture of the P, here!
I got a lot of this...

I really like the black and white ones. She really does love food and I was a witness to her sucking on the lemon and loving it. I can't even do that. I'm sure she misses me already...
My kids loved lemons when they were babies too. I love all the pictures, especially the crabby ones. It's so much harder to get good pictures when they start moving around more!
Heh heh, your kids did love lemons then!!!
I can't wait until I get to hold that one-year-old-girl! I'd like to formally reserve at LEAST half an hour to Krista-Peyton time! She's beautiful, Kimmy!
Haha Oh my goodness! Ok, LOVE the second to last black and white picture.
