GG came to town

We had an awesome visit with Cory's mom.

The first night she was here we played in the backyard.

Day #2 we went swimming, but I didn't take any pictures. :(

Day #3 we went downtown did a little shopping, ate lunch at Costa Vida, and then saw the movie Brave.

Trying on sunglasses at urban outfitters

"Swimming" with the jellyfish at anthropologie

Chilling at lunch

Sitting in one of the car video games at the theatre. He would have happily sat there all day.

Movie time!

Playing in the fountain downtown

Sitting in the big kid part of our sit and stand

Day #4 Roaring Springs ! This was my favorite day. I love water parks.

such a big kid standing in line and going down the slide all by herself!

we had to bribe her to try it, but once she gave it a go she loved it and was very sad to leave.

I know Noah looks terrified, but he absolutely loved everything about the water park!

Day #5 After church, lunch, making cupcakes, and nap time we headed to wahooz.

GG made the best roast beef sandwiches and potato salad as well as some yummu cupcakes.

miniature golf at wahooz. the kids did great... for the first 5 holes. :)

GG, Cory and Peyton headed over the bumper boats while Noah and I watched the go-karts. He would have been perfectly happy doing this all evening.

We also played games, rode the go-karts, and the kids played in the little playground thing they had inside. Lots of fun!

Day #6 Zoo day!

We got to pet a baby skunk!

I thought it was really cute!

We also got to pet a giant rabbit.

Peyton's favorite animal... she has this new weird obsession with dead things.

Noah loves the elephants that spray out water.

The giraffe slide is always a favorite.

The goats are Noah's most favorite thing at the zoo.

The butterfly encounter is so cool! The butterflies loved GG!

Thanks for coming to visit, GG!

ten on tuesday

1. Yesterday was Cory's and my 7th anniversary. We didn't really do anything to celebrate, but hopefully we will get a chance soon. So hooray for us! Here we are just little babies on our honeymoon

So wish we were in Cancun right now!

I love how Cory is still wearing his balloon hat. He must have really loved it.

We tried taking a picture of ourselves, but we couldn't agree on which one to post. ha. 7 years, 2 babies, and some weight gain...

2. It doesn't happen often, but when it does...

3. We love chocolate cake. :)

4. Puppet shows!

5. Peyton made dinosaur feet

and Noah "painted".

6. Noah got his glasses back today, but he doesn't want to wear them. :( I hate not knowing how he sees.

7. The Father's Day card Peyton picked out for Cory

8. Peyton totally impresses me with her drawing ability.

9. GG (Cory's mom) is coming to visit tomorrow. whoop, whoop! We're excited! Too bad Grampy(Cory's dad) couldn't make it. :(

10. Cory is freaking awesome!

ten on tuesday

1. Summer is the best!

2. I went in the house to grab their suits...

who needs 'em?

3. He always dumps the entire bucket

4. Peyton still loves to pretend to be a dog. She has started wearing socks on her hands, and declaring them her paws. Also, please note the lack of pants she is wearing. I bought her some new underwear, she had been "waiting her whole life for underwear that looked like that", and she said they were too pretty to wear pants.

5. We cannot keep Annie out of the water. Super fun when we are all outside, not so much when she comes barreling in the house and jumps on you.

6. Annie is finally housebroken. Hooray! I guess it's been about a week now. I am so thankfully because I can't take dog accidents in the house. I was about to lose my mind. She did so awesome when we first brought her home, so I was very discouraged when a few days later she started having multiple accidents a day. She would go outside in the morning pee, and then come inside and pee again two seconds later. wth! More info than I'm sure you wanted to know, but there isn't a whole lot to blog about these days. :)

7. Oh, and if you're wondering why there are so many pictures of Noah without his glasses it's because Annie ate them. You can guess who was home during that time, and who found them when they returned. His new glasses should be in any day. I'm not sure how his vision is, but he is doing a great job at keeping his eye straight.

8. Ice cream cone!

9. Did you notice that I cut Peyton's hair? I know a lot of people loved her long hair, but I love short hair(just a little above the shoulders) on little girls. Cory really likes it too. I cut it right after our camping trip, and it is sooo much easier to take care of. She didn't mind me putting it in braids and pigtails, but she hated getting it brushed. She ran to the bathroom mirror as soon as I was done to make sure it didn't turn brown like Rapunzel's. :)

10. The kids had their first swim lessons today. Noah did not enjoy himself. Total bummer since he loves the pool, but I expected it. He does not take to strangers at all. Peyton loves anyone, so she ate up the attention. She would've rather had a conversation, and showed off her tricks instead of going underwater and floating on her back, but she did what was asked of her even though she didn't want to. I'm very proud of her. I thought she was going to flip out when she had to go under, but no tears were shed. I really hope Noah warms up to the instructor, and Peyton gets over her fear of going underwater. I'd love for them to both be swimming this summer!

All Boy (I heart faces challenge)

For this month's I heart faces "All Boy" photo challenge I am entering my current favorite picture of my son. He will be 2 in September, and he is definitely "all boy". He loves making messes, and is obsessed with anything that has a motor. My absolute favorite thing he does is his "monster face".

Here it is:

Is that not the most adorable and hilarious thing you've ever seen?! :) Be sure to check out more entries at Iheartfaces.com
