10 months old!

61 days until Peyron turns 1.Wow, her 9th month of life went by SO fast! The more fun she gets the faster the months go by. ::sigh::  She still loves Baby Einstein. Baby Beethoven is her favorite, out of the three we have. All her other movies she'll watch, and then play, and then go back to watching. She doesn't move when she watches Baby Beethoven, except for the occasional glance over at me when she wants to flash me a smile.

I cannot eat anything without giving her a bit or having something else for her to eat. It's difficult for me to enjoy my diet of cookies and brownies now. :) She tried avocado last night, and seemed to like it. I was pretty surprised she ate it because she usually only likes things full of flavor. She loves lemons, and doesn't even make a sour face when she sucks on them. She also likes spicy food just like her dad, and she most definitely got my sweet tooth. She loves fruit! I finally gave her cheerios a couple weeks ago, and she only likes them ok. I guess they aren't sweet enough for her. She'll gobble down her yogurt melts though. I'd say her favorite thing to eat is her yobaby yogurt, doesn't matter the flavor. I know hearing about food is boring, but this blog is her baby book. ha.

Still no teeth.

She's cruising all over now.

She crawls, walks, and stands with her feet out like a penguin. I tried googling it this morning, but I didn't find anything alarming, just that it helps them keep their balance. I'm going to check with the pediatrician about it at her 12 month appointment. I didn't even notice it until Hillary pointed it out.

She's got a little bit of a mean streak in her. I'd like to say she got that from Cory, but we all know that's not true. She's been getting irritated with Jaida, and I guess is jealous, and doesn't want to share me. The other day Peyton intentionally leaned back on Jaida, and "yelled" at her. Today I was sitting on the futon, and Jaida was trying to pull up, and Peyton walked in front of her. Can she understand what she is doing this young? It sure seems like it. How do I redirect that behavior? Poor Jaida.

BUT, ha, she really is just the sweetest little girl. She loves kisses, and to be cuddled. Everyone is her friend.

Her new favorite game is to play peek-a-boo. She puts her face down on the couch, a pillow, whatever...and she'll lift her head up and smile, and I'll say "boo". Sometime she'll say boo, too. It's really cute, and we crack up at her. I tried to get it on video yesterday, but she was more interested in the camera.

I gave Peyton the Paddington Bear I got in London, when I went on a missions trip to Romania my Junior year in High School. She absolutely loves it. It's adorable. Every night when I go check on her she has her armed wrapped around it. So sweet. If she gets attached to it I won't mind because Paddington is way cool. :)

I risked her afternoon nap today, and snapped this shot. :)

She finally waves bye, but still doesn't clap.

She is definitely a water baby.

She has this new weird laugh that I don't even know how to describe. It's like a vibrating laughing sound. Maybe I'll get it on video one of these days. She does it when she is really excited.

She's added boo to her vocabulary. She pretty much says "peyton" about anything she likes. ha.

I guess that's the skinny on our 10 month old! I apologize for it being long and boring. If you're thinking, "why do I even read this blog" I'll remind you.

She wasn't all smiles though. Nap time probably isn't the best time to have a photo shoot.

10 on Tuesday

Doesn't it feel like last Tuesday was just 2 days ago? I've got nothing.

memphis in may

We're back. It was a long drive, but we made it. We had a really good time, and it went by way too fast. ::sigh::  Poor little Peyton was so exhausted the entire time, but she did really well. Having a tired baby isn't so bad when you have 3 friend there to help you out. A few minor meltdowns was worth it in the end. This is definitely something I have reserved for girl's weekend with my friends though. : )

I didn't take very many pictures, and the ones that I did aren't very good. Why is it that I don't take pictures of things that I want to remember the most? Hopefully there will be so good ones on Aimee and Candace's cameras.

Hillary and Peyton.

Peyton and Candace or "dada" as Peyton likes to call her.

Saying goodbye outside of Candace's new H3.

IMG_0144

But not before I finally get to set up my tripod and have a photo shoot with a few of my besties.

IMG_0147

Having a good time dancing and forgetting about all the people passing by.

IMG_0149

I thought the rest needed to be black and white just to change it up a bit.

IMG_0157

I ran to the car to grab my sunglasses that I got from the Longhorn lost and found. My head and face is definitely too little to look good in sunglasses. Cory said Aimee and I look like we are sisters in this picture...funny, he didn't think we looked like triplets with Hillary. I guess one has to be drunk in Hollywood to think that.

Pool time fun

We finally had a rain free day, so I took the girls outside so they could go "swimming". Once again Peyton loved it, and Jaida was not digging it at all. I don't understand how a baby can hate the water so much. I'm glad my daughter enjoys being in water because I am a huge fan!

pool

Doesn't that look so refreshing? I so would have been in the water too, if the pool wasn't the size of a 1 ounce, and a bean.

feet splashing

This girl loves life! She has such joy in her heart.

IMG_0088

IMG_0091

Poor girl. You'll probably see a picture of Jaida like this every time I take them outside to get in the pool. I won't give up on her. : ) Hopefully she'll start to like the water sometime this summer.

IMG_0083

I totally doused them in sunscreen. These babies will not get sun burned on my watch.

IMG_0081

Peyton didn't have to swim alone for too long. Her friend, and next door neighbor, Jacob, came over to join in on the fun.

IMG_0096

Jacob was born 4 days after Peyton.

Jaida watched from the sidelines, at least she was happy.

It's fun having babies around that are so close to Peyton's age. Even though they are all reaching the same milestones around the same time, and making the same sounds and faces their personalities are SO different. Peyton is definitely the coolest, but I'm not biased at all. : )

Tomorrow we leave for Memphis! Woohoo! Can't wait to lounge by the pool! I hope the car ride goes well. I'm not too worried though. I'm sure if Peyton gets fussy Aimee will climb in the back and keep her happy. When Peyton was a newborn Aimee used to walk her all around the house, and bounce her on my exercise ball. I could always count on her to relieve me from a fussy newborn. I'm sure I'll have pictures from our trip to share, so come back Monday to check them out! If you think about it will pray for traveling mercies for us? See ya.

ten on tuesday!

1. When Peyton was a newborn I used to call her thug because she always looked so seriously or angry in pictures.  9 months later she is still so gangsta', frilly tank top sleeves and all. : )

2. I have to confess that I have already fallen off the wagon. While Cory was gone Peyton and I went to Target and I bought her a new toy. ::sigh:: She needed it though. : ) It's a Fisher Price, Little People ride on car. She hasn't figured out how to push and walk with it yet, she pulls it in towards her. However, she looves to be pushed around the house on it.

3. I hardly ever use our p&s camera to take pictures. Peyton is so not used to the flash. ha.

4. Last Thursday I met up with Jaida's mom, and we took the girls to the zoo.

Look at my big girl checking out the kangaroos or the grass. ha.

We left a little later than I had hoped, and our trip was right in the middle of the girl's nap time. They both knocked out in their strollers. It was the first time Peyton had fallen asleep in her stroller, I'm glad I know it's possible.

Doesn't she look so sweet with head propped up on her hand! Awwww...

5. Cory snapped this picture of Peyton a couple Sundays ago. We both needed to get ready for church so I popped in a video for her. I think this is definitely slide show material for her wedding. : )

6. This morning.

7. It feels like it's been raining here all month. Somedays I love it, somedays I don't.

8. Yesterday we went to the Galleria, so I could get my eyebrows threaded, and I was so sad to see that the cart had closed. : (

9. Peyton took about a 30 minute nap this morning, and then played in her crib for an hour. I kept waiting for her to go back to sleep, but she never did. When I finally went in to get her I discovered that she had a poopy diaper. Oops, sorry kid.

10. Aimee, Peyton and I are meeting Candace and Hillary in Memphis this weekend. Can't wait!
