Happy birthday, Cory!

Today is Cory's birthday! Holla! Too bad he has to spend the day working. Well, I guess it would be even worse if he didn't have a job. So in some sense, hooray that he is spending his day working. ha.

I'm so thankful to have a husband as wonderful as Cory. The guy is never in a bad mood. He just doesn't let anything ruin his joy. He's always willing to help someone in need, and expects nothing in return. He's a kind, thoughtful, generous person that strives to be like Jesus. Even though he likes spending his free time playing video games he'll always ask if there is something I would rather do first. He's so very talented, too. He can play it, sing it, draw it, build it... He gets up early, works long days to provide for our family, and comes home in a great mood ready to help with the kids. They are so lucky to have such a fun dad that loves spending time with them. He asked me what I wanted to do tonight, and when I told him whatever he wanted he picked something Peyton would enjoy, too, getting pizza and watching Tangled.

I love you, Cory, and so does Peyton and Noah.

Ten On Tuesday!

1. Went to Zumba for the first time last night. So much fun! It was a nice workout too, but I cancelled it out by enjoying a bowl of ice cream when I got home. Ha. The best part is that its free!

2. There are two birds that keep pecking at our windows. It's been going on for a couple of days. I don't know what they want. Maybe Timmy fell in a well. har, har, har.

3. It's been cold and raining the last couple of days, and its supposed to continue for a few more. I'm ok with it because then I don't have to water the flowers. I just wish I could stay in my cozy bed until noon.

4. I think I have pinkeye or something. Its itchy, sore, and droopy, its not red though. Just call me old lazy eye.

5. I miss having the Bachelor to watch on Tuesday mornings. Can't wait until the Bachelorette starts. oh the life...

6. I renewed my license last week. Standing there getting your picture taken is so awkward. My picture looks terrible!

7. I'm a skat  man. be dop be da da. bep pa pada bo.

8. Peyton actually fell asleep during nap time yesterday. I'm hoping she does the same today because we have dinner plans tonight. Too bad Noah just woke up right before it was time for Peyton's nap.

9. Milca and her kids came over last Friday and I took a couple of pictures of them before we headed to the park. Their birthday party theme is cowboy/cowgirl. Sad we're going to miss it when we're in Cali. :(

Angel wasn't digging the whole picture taking thing. He just wanted to blow dandelions.

Aryana was all about it though! So fun!

10. Please excuse our messy living room, and how obnoxious I sound.

well that was a fast weekend

Talk about time flying. I think that was a record fast weekend. It went by too quickly, but it was good.

Saturday we headed up to Trussville to have lunch with Erin, Chad and the youth kids from Cory's parent's church that went to convention. On our way home we stopped at The Summit to see Cory's parents. Peyton enjoyed a brownie while shopping in Talbots. We also checked out the new ipads at the Mac store. I've been telling myself that mine is just as good, but man... Our next stop was Buy Buy Baby to buy Noah a pair of shoes. I totally scored and got some pedipeds for 10 dollars! They were 50% off plus I had a $5 coupon. Can I get a what, what!? Then a quick stop at Sonic to fill Cory's raging animal craving, and then headed to a landscaping store to check out flagstone, which they didn't have, drove to another, and it was closed. :( Oh well. I dropped off Cory and Peyton, then Noah and I headed to the thrift store, and Lowes. I have been looking for a mirror for the kids' room with no such luck. I found two pictures for $7 each, and decided to use those instead. I'll keep stalking the thrift store though because I think a mirror will make the room feel a little bigger. Our Lowes trip was somewhat of a fail, too. They didn't have the plants I wanted, and I had to settle for just an okay light fixture for our eat in kitchen area. I'm happy though, I think it looks much better! I did find a color I really liked to spray paint the frames. I'll post pictures of their room soon because it's as finished as its going to get in this house. Busy Saturday!

We skipped church on Sunday, I know, shame on us. We had to get the house ready for a showing. Cory hung the new light, and drew alien pictures to replace the pictures that were in the frames from the thrift store. I had to go to Target to get Noah wipes, oatmeal, and light bulbs. Target sucks me in, and I never leave with only the items on my list. I also bought a valance for the kids' room, and a new shower curtain(totally justified because it was on clearance, and it makes our bathroom feel brighter and cleaner). :) We tagged teamed and cleaned the house pretty quickly. We went to Moe's (Thanks, Erin for Cory's gift card!) for a late lunch, so we would be out when the peeps came to look at our house. The business card was actually from a broker not a realtor; not sure what that's all about. I hope they leave feedback. When we got home the kids went straight to their beds. Peyton had a very hard time listening at lunch, so I was so ready to relax while she rested. I spent my time playing words with friends, browsing home decor blogs, and watching Prison Break. I am such a multi tasker. :) Cory played WOW. Then it was a quick trip to the park, dinner, kids in bed, more prison break, blog browsing, words with friends, and wow, then bed. And boom goes the dynamite, the weekend is over.

So there you have it, a whole lot of blah, blah, blah. To make up for my rambling:

Flashback Friday!

Weird to think this was Peyton a year ago, and will be Noah next year. I miss her straight out pig tails. Man, she is cute! I know you can't see it, but she still wears that Roxy shirt. ha.

1. Sorry the blog posts are so infrequent. The weather has been so nice, and we have been spending most of our time outside.

2. St. Patrick's Day... we did nothing. The kids both wore green though.

3. We've been working on our backyard. I got a porch swing! Well for us it's a patio swing. We also bought some flowers, and a little cheap fountain... cheap in cost, but I think it looks nice and I love it. Cory is seeing about getting some flagstone from his old boss. There's much to do in the backyard, but it's looking a lot better.

4. We had friends over for Cory's birthday last Saturday(his actual birthday is on the 30th). That was fun!

Poor Tony and Daniel, Peyton climbs all over them when they come over. At least they got a little break while she was demanding attention from the other one. She looves them.Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug
Cory's parents stopped by on their way to Montgomery. Such a cuddlier.

5. Noah has been sick, and our nights have been terrible. I don't know what the deal is with him getting sick. Sick babies is new territory for us. Both times its been viral, so we've just had to wait it out. He seems to be better now.

6. Peyton woke up crying from two dreams this morning. The first one was at about 2am, and when I went in there she said, "we have to buy more airplanes." The second time was at 7:30am, and she was crying and saying, "the doctor ate it all. the doctor ate it all" ha.

7. I bought a book yesterday, 1-2-3 Magic. It's a parenting book and so far so good.

8. We still have not gotten our state tax refund, wth?

9. I went to bed at 8:45 last night.

10. I updated my photo blog. There are many missing days. The black and white picture of Peyton is super scary according to Cory, and I agree. ha.

Noah is 6 Months!

I'm finally getting around to writing about Noah at 6 months. Let me tell you, he is the best baby! His sleeping could use some improvement, but other than that he is a little dream child. He just goes with the flow. He never complains about his infant car seat. We switched Peyton at 6 months because she hated that seat. Noah is bigger than her, and we are still lugging him around in it. Man, its tough though! As soon as we get back from Cali we're going to switch him to Peyton's old Marathon. He still isn't sitting up unassisted very well, hopefully in a month he'll be able to sit up in a cart. He has learned that if he keeps rolling he can get somewhere. He rolled over to a toy yesterday and started playing with it. Peyton didn't really play with toys at this age. Noah grabs everything within his reach. I deal with daily hair pulls, something else I don't remember Peyton doing. I'm think he is going to have a little more coordination than her. He will eat anything I give. I am so happy about this! I can't even say what I think is his favorite because he gobbles everything right up. He is also still a major cuddle bug. I've been blessed with two super snugglers.

He is in size 4 Luvs, and can wear 9 month Carters (though they are getting too small) to 12-18 month Gap (which is just a little big). I really don't understand kids clothing sizes. Same brand, and a different style can fit so different. He can't really wear shoes because his feet are too chubby, so I don't know his size.

His stats on 3-4-11

weight: 19lbs 13oz (He lost a little bit of weight while he was sick. I'm sure he is back up to 20 lbs)

Height: 27 1/2

Head: 17 1/2

His obligatory picture with his "N". This was taking on the 1st.

I went to Crazy 8, and bought him another driver's cap because I love them! It's 6-12 months, and a little small. I just can't win. ha. These are a few of my favorites from the Botanical Gardens last Saturday.

Ten on Tuesday!

1. I'm going to start level 2 of the 30 day shred tonight. Wish me luck!

2. I just changed our auto insurance provider. We were pay $125.00 a month and now we're only paying $68! I wish I would have switched a long time ago!

3. The weather got cold again. Rain tonight, and tomorrow, but this weekend is supposed to be nice. I need to take Noah's 6 month pictures. I tried the other day, but he wasn't really having it. I just love this one though. Driver caps are my favorite.

4. We met up with Milca and her kids after Noah's appointment last Friday. It was fun! I lost my keys in my car though! Milca and I spent like 20  minutes trying to find them. Who does that? I finally found them wedged in a crack. Peyton's favorite part of the zoo was getting a sucker from Milca.

5. I made Noah a ton of purees yesterday. So far he is loving everything. Tomorrow he gets to try pears, next will be purple sweet potato, and then peaches. Yesterday was the first time I've had purple sweet potatoes. I didn't like it, but I'm sure Noah will. They're very sweet.

6. I've been looking at dance schools near us. I really want to enroll Peyton this fall. I think she will really love it.

7. We started going to a new church a few weeks ago. Last week we went to a members class, and I'm pretty stoked about it. Peyton really enjoys going. She walks right in her class, and doesn't even look back to say bye. We even put Noah in the nursery, and he's doing great.

8. Peyton is finally starting to pay a lot more attention to Noah. She brings him toys, and talks to him. He think she is the coolest! Today she was blowing raspberries on his belly, so cute!

9. Pretty excited about the time changing this weekend! I'm all about the sun being out longer!

10. The count down for California is on. One month! This was months ago. See itty bitty Noah in the swing?

Ten for Today!

1. Noah turned 6 months old yesterday! He has his well check on Friday, though he's not so well. I'll dedicate a post to his little self soon.

2. Yesterday was rough. I've had to help Noah go back to sleep no less than five times for a week now. My patience is suffering. Peyton didn't take a nap yesterday and she was a mess. Crying about everything. Noah woke up at 2:30pm, and wanted me holding him or doing nothing else but looking directly at him while talking. It was a very not fun afternoon. When Cory came home he let me go to Khols and Super Target. They're about a half hour away. I was gone for 3 hours. I'll have to go back to Target soon to return half of the things I bought. ha.

3. I bought Noah a super cute outfit. I love spring clothes for boys! So many cute things for Easter. I have to return the shoes though because his feet are too chubby, and he curls his toes. I remember it being so hard to put my little brother's shoes on because he would always curl his toes.

4. Nothing says buy my house like a front yard full of dandelions.

5. All the trees (I'm not sure what kind) around us are blooming. They look so pretty, but smell horrible. Like disgusting!

6. My other blog is so neglected. My camera battery died, and I couldn't find the charge for a couple of days(because I didn't look very  hard), and then it took me a couple of days to charge it. I lost my motivation. I'm going to start it back up, and just consider February a loss.

7. I've heard great things about dry shampoo. I tried it, and it didn't work for me. Too bad, so sad.

8. I have loads of laundry staring at me, waiting for me to fold, hang and put it away.

9. I was so excited about this month's electric bill because our weather has been so great. I was disappointed. It was lower than it has been, but more than I was hoping for. Oh well, I was still under budget.

10. This was a very boring ten. I'll leave you with some pictures that didn't make it on the new header.

This was before the hair pulling. She just didn't want me to take her picture.
